Why I stopped energy healing and focussed on meditation…

I became an energy healer back in 2015 after having a significant change in my own health, which by process of elimination I worked out must be due to the healing work I’d had done. After 9 years of ill health, I was all good, and hats more I had physically felt something shift in my body! Odd! This was obviously fascinating and I started to study the energy healing as my curiosity got the better of me. Just how did this all work… I very quickly built up a busy practice and people were feeling the benefits of the healing sessions and kept coming back. However, something that puzzled me was how some patients would retain the benefits of the healing sessions and some simply would not. Having a strong work ethic has always been a big part of me… I wanted to get to the bottom of this. After observing for some time and talking to people about the changes they were going through, I thought about my own life too… it was only when I took complete responsibility for my healing that I felt genuine real and lasting change. I felt empowered, I started answering my own questions rather than asking others for their opinions, I started to trust myself… a truly amazing and liberating experience. What I realised wasn’t happening in the energy healing was the genuine long term change that people need to make the lasting difference in their lives, but meditation, as a practice – to regularly let go of stress – works slowly, and gently to make these changes. Potentially lasting change. The classes I run are well enjoyed, and what people gain from them is a sense of inner peace that people report taking into the rest of their week. What a humbling privilege to be able to support people in this way. If you can’t make a class even a short meditation can make big changes in your life if you do it regularly – it doesn’t need to be fancy – just sitting on your sofa and focussing on your breath for a couple of minutes is a realistic way to start. Prioritising yourself, feeling like you have some control over your own life after the crazy last couple of years we’ve had and gaining a sense of inner peace and presence that can become your normal.
